Joint Programmes

Collaborative PhD programmes with global partners. Students may conduct research abroad after qualifying exams, through the NTU Joint PhD Programme.

Support, Funding & How to Apply

University Scholarships

NTU offers university-level support through the Research Scholarship Scheme (RSS), which includes tuition subsidies and monthly stipends.

Additional premium scholarships (Tier 1) may be awarded to top-ranked candidates at admission.

PhD Application & Enrollment

Candidates for PhD positions must apply through NTU’s Graduate Admission System via the Online Application Portal.

Enrollment periods:

  • January intake – Apply by October (previous year)
  • August intake – Apply by April (same year)
