at the nanoscale
By advancing fundamental knowledge in artificially structured materials, we pursue the development of applications ranging from light-emitting devices to single-photon detectors.
We investigate light-matter interactions in nanoscale materials using advanced spectroscopic techniques to uncover the fundamental properties that arise from reduced dimensionality, large interface areas, and hybridization. Additionally, we leverage our expertise to realize nanostructures with tailored size, shape, and composition to engineer optical properties on demand.
