Fabio Bussolotti

Senior Research Fellow

Fabio Bussolotti received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy). From 2007 to 2009, he was an international JSPS fellow at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, where he investigated the electronic properties of organic materials using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES). He continued this line of research as a research associate at Chiba University and the Institute for Molecular Science in Okazaki, Japan (2009–2015). Since 2016, he has been based at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (Singapore), where he leads Spin-ARPES studies on atomically thin materials for quantum technology applications. As of April 2025, he also holds an adjunct appointment as Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies (CDPT), focusing on ARPES characterization of topological materials.
