IPS Meeting 2019: Salih Yanikgönül received an Outstanding Poster Award for “2D Montecarlo Study of p-n+ and p-i-n+ Silicon Waveguide-based Single-photon Avalanche Diodes for Visible Wavelengths”.

IPS Meeting 2017: Bhumika Chaudhary received an Outstanding Poster Award for "Room temperature black phase stabilization of formamidinium and cesium lead halide perovskites by incorporation of bulky organic cation".
1st International Meeting on Advances in Quantum Engineering (AQE 2018): Anna Paterova received the Best Paper Award for “Infrared Metrology Using Visible Light”.
"Making and Tinkering" 2016: Anthony Jhoni, Jocelyn Chee, Muhammad Luqman and Kaung Koko received the Best Project Award for the Solar Ornithopter Project. Flexible solar cells were integrated on the wings of a robotic ornithopter (a robot that flies like a bird), to improve its authonomy.
June 2016: Wang Zilong's PhD thesis on "Plasmon-polaron coupling in conjugated polymers on infrared metamaterials" was selected for the Springer Thesis Award.
December 2015: Charles Altuzarra received the Poster Presentation Award for “Sub-diffraction localization of a single photon” at the Nanophotonics in Asia 2015 (Osaka, Japan).
September 2015: Daniele Cortecchia received the Materials Horizons Poster Prize at the 1st International Conference on Perovskite Solar Cells and Optoelectronics (PSCO 2015) for "(EDBE)PbX4 perovskite white emitting devices".
August 2015: Cesare Soci elected among 117 new Senior Members of the SPIE "for their professional experience, their active involvement with the optics community and SPIE, and/or significant performance that sets them apart from their peers."
"Making and Tinkering" 2015: B. Kanesh, Ameen Noorul, Lee Ee Wei and Chong Yuk Hang received the Best Project Award for the Space Balloon Project. 2 out of 3 payloads containing video footage, telemetry and spectroscopic data were recovered in Australia after reaching an altitude of ~30 km! https://www.facebook.com/ntuspaceballoon

July 2014: Dai Xing sucessfully defended her thesis on "Transport studies in quasi 1D III-V wires, tubes, and Fin structures" and was awarded the PhD.

e-MRS Spring Meeting 2014: Yin Jun received a Young Scientist Award for outstanding paper on "Ultrafast electron transfer from P3HT to pyridine-capped InP quantum dots".
e-MRS Spring Meeting 2014: Paola Lova received a Best Poster Presentation prize for "Hybrid ZnO:polystyrene nanocomposite for all polymer photonic crystals".
4th Asian Spectroscopy Conference 2013: Xinyu Chin received a Best Poster Award for "Charge modulation spectroscopy of p-type and n-type polymer FETs".

Cesare Soci received the second runner up Prosper.Net-Scopus Young Scientist  Award 2010 in Sustainable Development (Energy category), for work on "Third generation solar cells".
