WELCOME

We are a spectroscopy group in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of Nanyang Technological University. As part of the Division of Physics and Applied Physics, we contribute to a vibrant scientific community advancing the synthesis and characterization of molecular and nanoscale materials. We have also strong ties with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, where we focus on fabrication and modeling of nanoscale devices.

Principal Investigator

Cesare Soci received Laurea and Ph.D. degrees in physics (2000 and 2005) from the University of Pavia, Italy. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Polymers and Organic Solids at UC Santa Barbara (2005-2006), and at the ECE Department of the University of California, San Diego (2006-2009). He joined NTU in 2009, where he currently leads the Optical Spectroscopy of Nanomaterials laboratory, and co-directs the Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies. He is a Fellow of the OSA and the SPIE.
