I started my joint position as a research fellow in the Division of Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Institute for Theoretical Computer Science (ITCS) at Tsinghua University in August 2007. My areas of investigation are secure multiparty computation, multicast communication and secret sharing.
Before starting this position, I was a PhD student in the Department of Computing at Macquarie University (Australia). I started my PhD candidature in March 2004 under the supervision of Associate Professor Huaxiong Wang and co-supervision of Professor Josef Pieprzyk. I worked on the security of multicast communication which covers a large number of domains like software distribution, sensor networks, multi-party teleconferencing, online video games, financial markets and military applications for instance. Since most applications contain sensitive data, this mechanism of data transmission must provide security to its users. Therefore, the issues include confidentiality, authentication, non-repudiation and integrity of data as well as access control to the communication group. My work was focussed on designing cryptographic protocols providing data origin authentication. More information about my thesis can be found here.
My current work is supported by the Ministry of Education of Singapore under grant T206B2204 as well as the National Natural Science Foundation of China Grant 60553001 and the National Basic Research Program of China Grant 2007CB807900, 2007CB807901.
My list of publications can be found here.
