PNAS "Sonochemistry and Sonoluminescence in Microfluidics"

Job Opening:

Electronic Geek (B.Eng./B.Sci./M.Sci.)
Experimental Fluid mechanics (PhD Mech.Eng. or Physics)

Short and long term student internships available

We are studying fast flows mainly connected with the implusive motion created by bubbles. On the right you see pictures from my research, showing the richness of fluid mechanics. A few key words:

  • sonoluminescene,
  • drug-delivery,
  • ultrasonic cleaning
  • cavitation inception
  • lithotripsy
  • microfludics, and
  • shock-bubble interaction.

An brief introduction to the research is available here.

Current Research Topics:
Unsteady Boundary Layer flow, Electrokinetic flow, Sonochemistry in Microfluidics, Mircorheology of RBCs and nanotubes/nanowires, Membrane Cleaning.
