The principal research interest in my group is to design new catalysts for hydrogen production, storage and hydrogen fuel cell. To achieve these goals, we are developing strongly integrated experimental/theoretical strategies to precisely design the functional molecules/materials with desired properties.
The research activities in my group include computer aided molecular design and synthesize & characteristics of designed compounds. The main works can be catalogued to involve:
(a) Design/Synthesize molecular catalysts that can assist the organic hydride to reversibly store hydrogen gas.
(b) Design/Synthesize photo-induced molecular catalysts that can directly dissociate water as hydrogen gas.
(c) Design/Synthesize electrochemical catalysts without noble metal used in hydrogen fuel cell electrodes.
Other research interests cover the rational designs of optically and electrically active molecules used in molecular/nano electronics.
